This recipe was thought up by lucy, my assistant. By hitched.co.uk 19 april 2018. Spoon over the cold cake, still in its tin, and level the top with a palette knife.
Adapted from a recipe by cookbook author mary berry on the bbc's the great british bake off. tested by becky krystal.
Invert the cake on to the paper and remove the bottom lining piece of paper. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. A perfect match for cheese and cold meats, and delicious in turkey sandwiches. Makes 28 mary berry says:
